I made it!

Despite being totally sleep deprived, I am back in sunny (& humid!) SoCal!

I'm so excited to be back in LA - I can't wait to see all my friends, get back in my routine and head back to work! Plus, I can't wait to get my hands on my closet - that'll have to wait 'til tomorrow when I'm back in Newport!

I can't believe the time has come but it's travel day for me - I'm hoping on a plane and heading back to LA! 

I always think of comfort first when traveling - flat shoes, loads of layers & no heavy metal jewelry (1. for security line reasons & 2. after hours of traveling, they can really start to weigh you down!). I tend to throw everything in my Clare Vivier clutch - laptop, ipad, passport, boarding pass, chapstick & whatever else I might need to get to while in the air! It's so much easier having everything in one place!

Welp, I guess I'll be seeing you guys on the flip side!

It's been raining nonstop here for the past 2 days - not fun! Went vintage shopping in Nyhaven today despite the rainy weather and found some amazing vintage sterling silver pieces for my Mom...she's a sucker for that stuff! 

Nyhaven has got to be my favorite part of this city - old fisherman ships line the canal along with cafe after cafe. Today, we were lucky enough to catch a bit of live music from a marching band (you can see them in their blue suits in the last couple of photos)...so crazy what you'll stumble upon here!

One of the coolest things about the area we live in is the fact that it used to be very industrial and has now been rebuilt around the train tracks that used to run in and out of Copenhagen. Despite the modernization of the area, the tracks have remained and a few of the old cars sit along the waterfront as a reminder of of an era long gone. 

Just 3 more days left until I'm on the beach enjoying the 80+ degree weather in SoCal...I. Can't. Wait!

Neon & Camo

Had an incredible weekend driving through Scandinavia and Northern Germany! On Saturday, the boy and I rented a car and found ourselves driving along the Swedish coastline and countryside. On Sunday, we decided to head the other direction and ended up in Northern Germany! The country here is so gorgeous - green fields, untouched beaches, cows & sheep for days!

After 5 weeks, I am leaving our little home here in Denmark and heading home! While I am going to miss being here, I can't wait to get back to my life at home. With that said, I'm totally starting to channel the Summer that I'm heading back to in SoCal by mixing neons and prints! 

I've found some amazing neon & natural color combos on Pinterest lately and have found myself mixing them into my outfits. You like?
