I love a good weekend road trip - even if it is just 45 minutes north to LA for my sister's birthday party! :) December & January are my family's months - all the kids' birthdays fall in these 2 months making for a lot of family time & outings...which I'm not complaining about!

Well, I'm hopping on a plane to Austin in a couple of hours - seriously can't wait to experience all the food, music & shopping this city has to offer!

Well, despite my best efforts this girl is still sick! To make matters worse, I'm headed to Texas tomorrow with my fam bam - I hope this little bug gets lost before I jump on that plane! 

Anywho, it's been a tid bit nippy lately and I've been finding some major layer inspo on Pinterest lately that I decided to put my own spin on - a classic look with a little pop!

Well hello there, first Friday of 2013 - you're looking mighty fine!

Despite this gorgeous sunny weather, I am totally sick - sore throat and all :( We all know where I'll be spending this weekend...at home! Besides feeling a little down, I am absolutely in love with 2013 so far - work is going nuts and I feel like this year will bring a lot of ups, both personally and professionally! I really want to enjoy life this year by being a little more spontaneous, more open (to people and plans) and travel my little bum off!
